Scott Morris is a litigation attorney with a focus on professional liability and insurance defense. He has an exemplary background representing insurance companies, professionals and entities involved in business, the medical field, and public policy.
Scott began his legal career in medical malpractice defense, representing major hospital entities and providers. He has worked in family law, as well as real estate and probate law in various Sacramento-region offices. Scott spent over five years with the U.S. Small Business Administration, performing varied legal roles as a transactional attorney preparing disaster relief loans, beginning with the triplicate hurricane disasters of Harvey, Irma and Maria in 2017, and continuing through the COVID-19 pandemic until 2023.
Scott graduated from the U.S.C. Gould School of Law in 2013, when he was admitted to the California State Bar. He obtained his B.S. in International Affairs from Georgetown University, during which time he worked for California’s Adam Schiff and John Garamendi. Scott also clerked for the Honorable David Abbott (ret.) of the Sacramento Superior Court. In his spare time, Scott enjoys golfing with his wife, working on their home together in Citrus Heights, and playing with their black-and-white trio of dog, cat and bunny in the backyard.
